Delma Oleta Taylor Brock, 86, left her earthly home for her heavenly home on June 11, 2015. Preceding her in death was her husband of 30 years, Doyle E. Brock, who passed away in 1975. She was the oldest of eight children and is survived by one sister, Lois Cherry, and one brother, WD Taylor. She is survived by her two children, Linda (Gary) Gooch and Bill (Victoria) Brock; four grandchildren, Angela (Eric) Shaffer, Brian Middleton, Katherine and Alex Brock, and three great-grandsons, Kellan and Kyler Shaffer, and Brady Middleton. Delma was born in West Bay, Florida, to Charles and Ada B. Taylor, and then spent 20 years as an Army wife, traveling the world. Living in many exciting places, such as Korea, Paris, Chicago and Atlanta, she loved to share her stories of adventures and sightseeing. She and her children came to Pensacola in 1975 and found her home and church family with Bethel Assembly of God Church. Her passions throughout life included God, family, traveling, sewing, gardening and her cats. She will be missed, but is now pain free and in a better place……our memories and love will help comfort us until we see her again. She leaves behind a beautiful legacy of faith - and love of God and His Son Jesus Christ - as evidenced strongly in her children, grandchildren and growing in her great-grandchildren. She loved her family and cherished her grandchildren. She was thankful for her church family at Bethel Assembly of God Church. She has honored and served God as her priority in life and now rejoices in His presence. Visitation will be held 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., Saturday, June 13, 2015, at Lewis Funeral Home in Pace. Graveside services and interment will be on Sunday, June 14, 2015, at Ebenezer Cemetery, 3334 Holmes Valley Road, Vernon, Florida 32462.
