Dennis Enger Milton, Florida Obituary

Dennis Enger

Dennis G. Enger, retired USAF, age 80, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family in Navarre, FL on July 12. Dennis was born in Willmar, Minnesota on January 16, 1937. He is survived by his loving wife, Dee Enger, children, Tim (Poi), Suzanne, (Don), Gary, his grandchildren, Tricia, “Tulip”, Taylor, “Tay Tay”, Payton, “granny”, Kayla Hope, “lil toughie”, his sister, Karen (Joe), several nieces and nephews, last but not least, their dog Gizmo, who never left his side. After 23 years of service in the U.S. Air Force, Dennis continued to serve his community for another 25 years at the U.S. Post Office in Niceville, FL. He was respected and well loved by everyone he met, he never met a stranger. The love story between Dennis and Dee started with a “bet”. Dennis “bet” Dee a dime he could kiss her and never touch her. He leaned over and kissed her; she backed away and said, “You touched me”. He said, “Okay, here’s your dime”, admitting he lost the bet. They were married 56 years. He was a wonderful and loving husband, father and grandfather. We will miss his sweet smile and contagious laughter. But we know he is smiling down on us and is no longer suffering.| Funeral Services will be announced at a later date.
