SSGT AFR (Retired) Dennis Michael “Mike” Lambert passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2015. Mike was born February 5, 1956, and was a 1974 graduate of Fort Walton Beach High School. Mike was a true patriot who was proud to have served his country first in the U.S. Army then later in the U.S. Air Force Reserves. Mike enjoyed fishing, gardening, helping anyone in need, and spending time with his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his father Rayford “Rainbow” Lambert; mother, Helen Lee Lambert; and brother, Roger Lambert. He leaves behind his daughters, Maranda Lambert and Leiha (Norried) Chaisson; son, Douglas (Laura) Lambert; stepson, Matthew (Rachel) Hobbs; and grandchildren, Derek, Douglas Jr., Alexis, Ethan, Izaac, Loic and Mila; sisters, Sonya McVeay, Kay (James) Johnson, Trisha (Philip) Green; brothers, Kenneth (Cindy) Lambert and Stacy Lambert (Sheila Gabbert), along with many nieces and nephews. Military honors and entombment will be held at 11:45 a.m., Thursday, June 18, 2015, at Barrancas National Cemetery, Pavilion “B”, onboard Pensacola NAS, Pensacola, Florida
