Dennis Dean “Pete”Swager, 52, of Milton died Halloween Day, October 31, 2014 in a local Pensacola Hospital. Pete was born May 25, 1962 to James Swager and Beatrice “Bea” Swager Yarbrough in Baxter Springs, Kansas. He grew up in southern California, attending high school in Sunland, California. He loved to hunt, fish and ride motorcycles. He was an exceptional brick mason, doing some very beautiful work. Pete attended a Baptist church in California and began to feel the need for Christ in his life. Pete made his profession of faith there. Pete has lived in this area since 1995. Pete continued to attend church in this area but began to let other things get in his life. Pete tried to get help along the way but was not able to overcome what his life had become involved with. Ultimately Pete left this life much too soon. He is survived by his parents and 4 brothers, Jim, Billy, David and Kirk. Several nieces and nephews, his friend, Rebecca Burgess. Memorial services for Pete will be 4:30PM Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at the home of Shelly Joyner. Mike Lewis will be officiating. Visitation will begin a 4 PM.
