Don was a licensed home inspector and had worked for Pensacola Insurance Inspections for the past 2 years.

Don was a proud member of The Krewe of Lafitte and had recently been promoted to Barbarossa, Float Captain of the Grey Ghost. Don loved his fellow pirates just as much as he loved his own family.

He is survived by his two sons, Jake Ragland of Pensacola, Florida, and Hudson Ragland of Pace, Florida; parents, Donald and Janice Ragland of Pace, Florida; sister, Dolly Lucio of Pace, Florida; one niece, Madison Lucio of Pace, Florida; a special aunt, Judy Waters of Molino, Florida; cousin, Pam Pigeon of Molino, Florida; cousin Angie Waters of Pensacola, Florida; along with many other family members and friends that were family to not only him but his immediate family.

Visitation for Don Ragland will be held 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 4, 2015, at Lewis Funeral Home, Pace Chapel. Funeral Services will begin at 2:00 p.m., with Rev. Bill Flannigan officiating. Burial will follow at Pensacola Memorial Gardens. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Tim (Wilson) Adkison, Martin (Mo) Moser, Randy Armstrong, and The Krewe of Lafiette.

The family would like to express their deepest appreciation for all the love and support they have received from the many, many friends Don has. Words cannot describe the outpouring of love the family has received from the many people who loved Don.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the Krewe of Lafitte Foundation. The funds received will be collected and disbursed in one lump sum to the family in efforts to support the future education of his children.
