Donna Marie Johnston Stringfellow, 81, passed away Friday, June 5, 2015. Donna was born January 26, 1934, in Berrydale, Florida, and lived most of her life in the Northwest Florida area. After graduating from Jay High School and completing a business course in Alabama she went to work for the State of Alabama. Later, she was employed by IBM for several years. When settling in Florida she worked as a legal aid for the State of Florida. She is predeceased in death by her husband, James Stringfellow; her parents, Earl and Wave Johnston; and a sister, Vera Gene Greene. She is survived by one sister, Earlene Russell; seven nieces and one nephew. She was a life-long member of the Community of Christ Church and served as organist for the congregation. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 8, 2015, at Lewis Funeral Home, Milton. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to Covenant Hospice in her memory.
