Beth Martin (née Dorothy Elizabeth Herron), 48, of Milton, passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2016. Beth was born in Pensacola on September 12, 1967. Following her graduation from Milton High School in 1985, she moved to Brewton where she married Larson O. Brake, Jr.; and their daughter, Bridget Renee, was born in 1990. She worked for the Brewton Medical Center for eight years before returning to Milton where she met the love of her life, Scott R. Martin. They were married in 2005 and worked together for several years before opening their own carpet cleaning business. She was a caring and giving person, always willing to help others. A strong work ethic and devotion to her family and personal faith were only some of her many virtues. Beth enjoyed family events, travel, and especially time with her fur-babies, Abel, Lexie, and Sadie. Beth was preceded in death by her grandparents, Dorothy C. and A. J. Lewis of Milton; and Pearl and Raymond Herron of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and her former husband. Beth is survived by her husband of eleven years, Scott R. Martin; her daughter, Bridget R. Estep; mother, Deborah Dearing; father, Robert W. Herron; sister, Jeanne N. Pitts; two half-brothers, Heath O'Brien and Josh Herron, all of Milton; and brother-in-law, Bruce Martin of Pensacola. She is also survived by many other relatives and close friends. A Memorial/Visitation will be held 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 30, 2016, at Lewis Funeral Home, Milton Chapel. Please bring any photos that you would like to share, a poster board will be available.
