Dorothy Marie Schlecht 1923-2013 Dorothy Marie Schlecht, age 90 of Milton, FL passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2013. Dorothy was born on March 20, 1923 in Bronx, New York to the late Harry and Catherine Alsing. She has resided in the Milton area for the last 40 plus years. Dorothy loved life and she loved to laugh. She would always say, "If you have a funny (corny) joke you must tell it - it's the law." She had a way of putting a smile on everyone's face that she knew or met. She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; one sister; and her husband of 62 years and the love of her life, Charles. Dorothy will leave behind to cherish her memory, one son, Charles (Sherry) Schlecht; four daughters, Dorothy Ann (Larry) McGinnes, Cathy (Phil) Ferguson, Patricia (Larry) Colhour, and Elizbeth Frazier; and numerous grand, great grand, great great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at 12noon on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at the Lewis Funeral Home Milton Chapel with Rev. Mike Poston, officiating. Burial to follow at Barrancas National Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Lewis Funeral Home Milton Chapel entrusted with arrangements.
