Dwight T. Whitlow, of Pace, Florida, passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2019. Dwight was a native of Carnesville, Georgia, and was the second of seven children born to the late Grady and Allene Whitlow. He was a graduate of The University of Georgia and a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was retired from a career in retail management. Dwight was a longtime faithful member and deacon of Immanuel Baptist Church in Pace. He was a friend to many and always enjoyed his time on the golf course with his regular golfing buddies. Dwight was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Patricia. He is survived by three sons, Lane (Vivian) of Henderson, Nevada, Ken (Tracy) of Rome, Georgia, Michael (Paige) of Diamondhead, Mississippi; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and five siblings. The family will receive friends at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 1, 2019 at Immanuel Baptist Church, Pace, Florida. Funeral services for Dwight Whitlow will follow visitation at 2:00 p.m., at the church, with Dr. Josh Wilson officiating. Graveside services and burial will be at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia, on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at 10:30 a.m., with Henderson and Sons Funeral Home, Rome, Georgia, directing.
