Edna Hinote

Edna E. Hinote went to be with the Lord peacefully and surrounded by her loving family on August 13, 2014. Edna was born and raised in Milton. Edna and her twin brother, Ed, was the youngest of twelve children born to John and Carrie Levins. She was a faithful member of Ferris Hill Baptist Church for over 50 years. She was predeceased by her parents; siblings; husband, John E. Hinote; and four children, Lewis Hinote, Bessie Spears, Jennie Helffrich and Johnny Hinote. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Betty Ann (Steve) Duncan; eleven grandchildren; several great, and great-great-grandchildren; along with many nieces, nephews and special friends. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 16, 2014, at Lewis Funeral Home Milton Chapel, with Rev. Brian Nall and Rev. Frederick Barrow officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m., prior to the service. Burial will be in the Milton Cemetery. A special thank you to Santa Rosa Health and Rehabilitation Center for taking care of Mama for the past 5 years.
