Edward Hanson

Edward Carroll Hanson, 68, of Pace, Florida, passed away Friday, August 14, 2015. Ed was the oldest of two sons born to the late Rockford and Agnes Hanson. He was a graduate of Phoenix University and a retired U.S. Navy Veteran. He attended Locklin Vo-tech for Carpentry and Plumbing and contributed to several projects in the Pace and Milton community, he is also a retired instructor from San Diego College and Florida State of NAS Pensacola and a beloved Sunday School teacher of Bethel Baptist Church. Ed is survived by his wife of thirty seven and half years, Twila J. Hanson of Pace, Fl; a daughter, Azilee J. Miller and son in law Keltron Miller of Pace, Fl; a son, Patrick S. Hanson and daughter in law Gina Hanson of Milton, Fl; six grandchildren, Trevor Scrhrier, Torrey Lawson, Janae Hanson, Trenton Ward, Raschel Combs and Brianna Woodard; three great grandchildren; Logan Schrier, Elainna Combs, and Layla Schrier; and his brother and sister-in-law, Thomas and Mary Hanson, of Pensacola, FL. Viewing services for Ed Hanson will be held at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, August 20, 2015, at Lewis Funeral Home, Pace Chapel, and funeral services will be held at 9:00 a.m., Friday, August 21, 2015, at Lewis Funeral Home, Pace Chapel, with Pastor John Swan and Bro. Bodie Neal officiating. Burial will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery, NAS Pensacola, with Military Honors. Pallbearers will be, Gene Bragg, Kevin Sines, Keltron Miller, Patrick Hanson, Trevor Schrier and Torrey Lawson. The family would like to thank the staff at West Florida Hospital, Select and Consultant and most importantly Angel Winchester who loved and took extra care of Pops.
