Edward “Mark” Dukes, 61, of Perdido, Florida (32507) passed way Saturday, July 11, 2020. Mark was born in Columbus, Georgia, on September 29, 1958, to Matilda and Sonny Dukes. He joined the Army, and earned his GED. In 1979 he was honorably discharged from the Army. He completed the electrolytes technician course with honors at George Stone. Later in life, he started working for the Naval Hospital as a computer technician. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Sonny Dukes. Mark is survived by his mother, Matilda Ann Dukes; sister, Cindy Ann Dukes; step-son, Daniel Barrow; daughter, Amy Louise Dukes Obassi; and his grandsons, Jordan Christie, Jayden Harrison, Jacob Harrison and Antoine Obassi. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 17, 2020, at Lewis Funeral Home, Milton Chapel, with Rev. Mike Poston officiating. Visitation will be held 9 a.m. – 10 a.m. for family, and from 10 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. for friends, prior to the service. After the service, there will be a reception at Amy’s home.
