Elbert Eston Reeves 1932-2012 Elbert E. Reeves, age 80 of Pace, FL passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2012. Native of North Carolina, Mr. Reeves has resided in Pace, FL for the last 39 years. He was a retired USAF Tech Sgt. with over 23 years of service. His military career spanned the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. He was a member of Ann Manning’s Sunday School Class of the Immanuel Baptist Church. He participated in a missionary trip to Brazil. He was preceded in death by his son, Gary Reeves. Mr. Reeves is survived by his wife, DeLarris ‘Dee’ Reeves of Pace, FL; son, Michael (Jennifer) Reeves of Ft. Myers, FL; daughters, Carolyn (Ronald) Ferek of Falls Church, VA and Debra (John) Melton of Tallahassee, FL; stepsons, Walter Peters and James Palmer both of Pensacola, FL; stepdaughters, Sherry Kern of Baton Rouge, LA and Lisa (Fred) Lash of Pace, FL; sixteen grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and sister, Vera Mae Honeycutt of NC. Funeral services will be held at 12PM on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at Lewis Funeral Home, Pace Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Coleman and Rev. Clain Roberts, officiating. Burial will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery with military honors. Family will receive friends at 11AM same day as service.
