Betty Gentry (92) of Milton, Florida, was called home, and to join her husband, David Gentry, on Tuesday November 13, 2018. Elizabeth Rose “Betty” (Yeatman) Gentry was born November 6, 1926. Betty was raised in Hyattsville, Maryland, before moving to Florida with David. She was an active member and elder of the First Presbyterian Church, Milton, a dedicated volunteer at the Santa Rosa Convalescent Home and a devoted fan of the Florida Gators through the good and the bad. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Thelma Yeatman; a brother, Robert (Peggy) Yeatman; her sister, Mildred (Bill) Linsenmeyer; and her beloved husband, David Gentry. Betty is survived by her daughter, Bessie Lou, and son-in-law, Randy Bohannon; her grandchildren, Christopher (Michelle) Ryan, Mary Elizabeth, David Randall, and William Tyler; and a great granddaughter, Khloe Grayce Bohannon. Visitation will be held 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 16, 2018, at Lewis Funeral Home, Milton Chapel. Graveside Services will be held at 11:45 a.m., November 16, at Serenity Gardens Cemetery, with Lewis Funeral Home of Milton directing. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Forsyth House and Regency Hospice for the love and care given during this time. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations may be made, in Betty’s name, to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America or the First Presbyterian Church, Milton.
