Elizabeth Virginia Sasser Heaton July 8 1949-January 26, 2013 Elizabeth Virginia Sasser Heaton, 63, of Allentown, passed away Saturday evening, January 26, 2013 at home, surrounded by her family. Miss Liz or Grandma Liz as she was so affectionately known to many was born in Jay, Florida to Clarence L. Sasser and Mollie Uptagraft Sasser, and had resided in the Jay and Allentown area for all of her life. She was a well known and beloved cook at Bass's Kwikburger for over 32 years until her health required her to retire. Her cooking was loved, talked about and looked forward to by many in her community. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Allentown. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sister: Christine Spicer, Lillian Powers, and AD Marie Sasser; and two brothers: Issac Sasser and William Sasser. Miss Liz is survived by her husband of over 48 years, James M. "Tommy" Heaton; her four children: Clarence Powers, Jamie Heaton, Angie (Terry) Bell, and Gina (Chris) Gauthier; her grandchildren: Sylvia and John Ward, Jayme Leigh and Ross Kelley, Tabby and James McCray, Wendy Powers, Chris Williams, Molly and David Jones, Travis Bell, Hunter Heaton, Haley Gauthier, and Destinee Anthony; seven great- grandchildren; a sister, Clara (Frank) Moore; a brother, L C. (Norma) Sasser; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be held at 11 am on Friday , February 1, 2013 at the Calvary Baptist Church in Allentown with Rev. Randy McElveen officiating. Burial will follow in the Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery with Lewis Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 5 pm until 8 pm on Thursday, January 31, 2013 at the Calvary Baptist Church in Allentown.
