Etta M. Hinnant Schelm 1929-2015 Etta M. Hinnant Schelm, went to be with Jesus on October 21, 2015, in the late afternoon in a local Nursing facility. She was a native of Washington, D.C. Mrs. Schelm worked many years for the Federal Government and the private sector. She was a former member of the Moose Ladies Aux. and current member of the American Legion Ladies Aux. Mrs. Schelm is preceded in death by her first husband, Omearl Hinnant, and two sons, Richard and Steve (Fran) Hinnant. She is survived by her current husband, Frederick Schelm; daughters, Diane Hinnant, Judy (Russell) Simonaro; son, Andrew Hinnant; step-daughters, Patricia Jourden, Diane (David) Jenkins, Augusta (Rocky) Troiano; nine grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. A "Celebration Of Life" Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 28, 2015, at Navarre United Methodist Church . Visitation will be held 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., prior to the services. Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 29, 2015, at Barrancas National Cemetery. Lewis Funeral Home, Navarre directing.
