Faye McBride Obituary

Faye Morgan McBride, age 88, of Pace, passed away Sunday, March 26, 2017, at home. Mrs. McBride was a native of Brantley, Alabama, but had resided in the Jay and Pace areas most of her life. She taught school in the Santa Rosa and Escambia County schools for 36 years. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International, an honorary educational fraternity. She was also a member of Laurate Alpha Kappa Chapter of Beta Sigma and Delta Kappa Gama Honorary Society. After retirement, she moved to Pace and became a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and the Prayer Partners Sunday School class. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Robin Crowder Burker; and her husbands, Robert Crowder and Charles E. McBride. Mrs. McBride is survived by her daughter, Cathy Crowder (Jim) Badini; step-daughter, Martha McBride (John) Pitts; step-son, Charles McBride; grandchild, Alex Badini; step-grandchildren, Brooke (Pete) Logan, and Jonathan (Melissa) Allen; and step great-grandchildren, Ashton Logan and Grayson Allen. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 31, 2017, at Lewis Funeral Home, Pace Chapel, with Brother Clain Roberts officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Prayer Partners Sunday School class. Interment will be in Jay Cemetery with Lewis Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be held 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Thursday, March 30, 2017, at Lewis Funeral Home, Pace Chapel.
