George William Jordan, 77, of Milton, Florida, died Tuesday, August 12, 2014. George was born October 24, 1936, in Pensacola, Florida. He graduated from Milton High School, served in the US Air Force and worked at NAS Pensacola. He was a member of First Baptist Church Milton. He was predeceased in death by his parents, Charles Bruner and Vashti (McCombs) Jordan; wife of 38 years, Mary Gillis Jordan; and two brothers, Charles Bruner Jordan Jr. and Harry Vernon Jordan. He is survived by his children, Jeffrey Jordan of Tallahassee, Florida; and Scott, Vikki and Mykena Jordan of Milton, Florida. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at First Baptist Church of Milton will Dr. David Spencer officiating. Visitation will be held 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m., on Wednesday, prior to the service. Burial will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 14, 2014, at Barrancas National Cemetery, Pensacola Naval Air Station. Lewis Funeral Home, Milton, has been entrusted with arrangements. Pall bearers are Kelly Gillis, Brian Jordan, Ronnie Smith , Kenny Cranford, Steve Brown and Scott Smith. Honorary pallbearers are Buddy Jordan, Randy Bassett, Ken Kincaid, Wayne Blocker, Bobby Brown, Danny Worrell, Bob McClure, William Carroll, Jack McCombs, Doug Gillis and Johnny Norton. The family would like to express their appreciation to Dr. David Mann and staff, and Emerald Coast Hospice, for the dedicated care they provided. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to Emerald Coast Hospice in memory of George Jordan.
