Grace Gentry

Grace Louise (Scranton) Gentry, 86, of Milton, Florida, passed away Sunday, January 7, 2018. Grace was born January 29, 1931, in Madison, Indiana, and was a graduate of Vevay High School in Vevay, Indiana. She worked a short period of time at Chemstrand in Pensacola, Florida; and was a faithful member of Hickory Hammock Baptist Church for over 20 years She is preceded in death by her husband, James Lonnie Gentry. Grace is survived by a son, James (Charlotte) Gentry; three grandsons, Mike (Rena) Gentry, Keith (Rosemary) Gentry, and Tony (Cindy) Gentry; four great-grandchildren, Oliva, Delaney, Ethan, Felicity; two brothers, Harold (Louisa) Scranton and Donald (Wanda) Scranton; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Thursday, January 11, 2018, at Lewis Funeral Home in Milton, Florida, with Pastor Carl Gallops officiating. A private burial will follow services in Enon Baptist Church Cemetery in Walnut Hill, Florida. Visitation will be held 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. for family, and 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. for friends, prior to the services.
