Grace McGraw departed this life to join her beloved husband, Elton, in heaven on Sunday morning, November 23, 2014. Grace was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. J. E. McGraw; grandson, D'Wayne McGraw; mother, Lizzie Hall; sister, Beatrice Gaston; and two brothers, Elmer Hall and Blue Hall. She is survived by two daughters, Luverne (Benny) Turner and Louise (George) Atchison; two sons, Clifford (Brenda) McGraw and Ed "Butch" (Ann) McGraw; grandchildren, Jason (Susan) Turner, Tina (Jeff) Pack, and Missy (Morgan) Kimbrough; great-grandchildren, Christopher, Joshua, Israel, Aislyn, Benjamin, John Morgan, Brady and Abigail; two sisters, Virginia Beck and Carolyn Hall; and numerous other family and friends. Grace dedicated her life to taking care of her children and being a helpmate to her husband in the pastoral ministry of the Pentecostal Holiness Church. She loved singing and had a beautiful alto voice. No matter where she lived, she ministered to people by loving them and praying with them. She loved to cook and was always trying to feed people. She made the best chicken and dumplings. During the last ten days of her life, Grace had a peace that "passed all understanding" as she made the transition from this life of pain, worry and fear into the welcoming arms of Jesus, her Lord and Savior. She is now spending time "catching up" with all the family and friends that went before her and basking in the Glory of God Eternal. Funeral Services will be held at 12:30 p.m., Wednesday, November 26, 2014, at Bagdad First Assembly of God Church, with Bishop Leon Stewart and Rev. Ricky Tedder officiating. Burial to follow at Pensacola Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 25, 2014, at Lewis Funeral Home Pace Chapel.
