Henry Lamar "Mike" Long February 16, 1929 – June 5, 2015 Henry Lamar "Mike" Long, 86, of Milton, Florida, went Home to be with his Lord and Savior on June 5, 2015. He was surrounded by his wife and daughters. Mike was a graduate of Allentown High School and a lifelong resident of Milton. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Milton and the Jonathan Wingate Sunday School Class. Mike was a retired electrician. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge of Milton and Scottish Rite, Zelica Grotto and Hadji Shrine Temple of Pensacola. Mike enjoyed fishing and hunting for quail and pheasant. He also enjoyed taking several trips to Hawaii with his family. In later years, he enjoyed planting a garden and sharing what he grew with friends and neighbors. Mike loved his family and knew he was blessed by God throughout his life. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Cleveland and Alice Kelly Long of Milton; his brother, Walter C. "W.C." Long, Jr., and uncle, Taylor Henry Kelly, also of Milton. Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Agnes Long of Milton; daughters, Donna Long of Daphne, Alabama and Debra Long of Milton, Florida; cousins, Ann (Burlin) Findley of Jay, Florida and Ella Evans of DeBary, Florida; and other extended family members and friends. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 10, 2015, at First Baptist Church of Milton, with Dr. David Spencer officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., prior to the service. Burial to follow services in Serenity Gardens Cemetery. Lewis Funeral Home, Milton, directing. Active pallbearers will be Claude DeVane, Lamar Faulkner, Levi Findley, Rick Hunsucker, Marty Jones, Kevin Mitchem, Mike Temple and David Weekley. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Jonathan Wingate Sunday School Class, Swede Gullickson, Bill Jones and Billy Simmons. Memorial contributions may be made to the Food Pantry or Joash Fund at First Baptist Church, 6797 Caroline Street, Milton, FL 32570.
