Henry Elbert Moore, 85, of Milton, passed away Friday, May 5, 2017. Henry was born March 10, 1932, in Franklin, Tennessee. Henry graduated in 1958 from Middle Tennessee University. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and was awarded a Bronze Star for his service. He was a teacher at Milton High School from 1958 – 1993. Henry was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Milton. He is predeceased by his parents, Henry Thomas and Ada (Harris) Moore; and brother, Samuel K. Moore. Henry is survived by his wife, Mary (Lunn) Moore; son, Don (Tammy) Moore; daughter, Jennifer (Donald) Shoen; brother, Rodger (Joyce) Moore of Franklin, Tennessee; grandson, Zachary Shoen; and a sister, Nellie (Jack) Hagewood of Cumberland Furnace, Tennessee. Visitation will be held 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 9, 2017, at Lewis Funeral Home, Milton Chapel. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 10, 2017, at Lewis Funeral Home, Milton Chapel, with Rev. Kathy Knight officiating.
