Hilda L Ellison, 90, of Milton, entered Eternal Rest on Friday, June 24, 2016. Mrs. Ellison was born February 3, 1926, in Milton, Florida. She was a faithful member of Ferris Hill Baptist Church. She loved and cared for the children in the nursery department for 40+ years. She worked at J & D Cleaners in Milton for many years. She will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jesse Greene and Pearl Edora (Hendrix) Kembro; husband of 64 years, Calvin E. “Pee-Wee” Ellison; two sisters; and four brothers. Mrs. Ellison is survived by two daughters, Linda L. (Rufus) Brewer and Lorraine Stanger; two sons, James E. (Mary) Ellison and Thomas (Jerri) Robinson; eight grandchildren, Karen (Francis) Allen, Tracy Brewer, Kyle Simmons, Keith Simmons, Victoria Stanger, Preston Stanger, Kyra Robinson, and Kayla Robinson; ten great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Graveside Service will be held at 11:30 a.m., Monday, June 27, 2016, at Serenity Gardens Cemetery, with Rev. Frankie Godsey officiating. Lewis Funeral Home, Milton, directing.
