Hugh Armstrong, Jr. went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 8, 2011. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on June 30, 1927 to the late Hugh and Mildred Armstrong. Hugh was a CWO3 in the U.S. Navy for 26 years. He was a member of Pine Terrance Baptist Church, Milton Ham Club, Navy League, and MOAA Whiting Field. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Mary E. Armstrong; one son, Hugh Armstrong III; one grandson, Ian Armstrong; three sisters, Barbara Clasen, Gerrie Smith and Millie Armstrong; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10AM Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at Pine Terrace Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Wiggins, officiating. Burial to follow in the Barrancas National Cemetery with full military honors. Family will receive friends from 5PM to 7PM on Monday, November 14, 2011 at the church.
