Jack A. Barnes, Jr., 71, of Chumuckla, went home to be with the Lord on Monday , August 24, 2015, in Mobile, Alabama. His life was to play and to sing gospel music and he always had a song on his heart. He was a big part of the music ministry at Faith Chapel Assembly of God Church where he loved to minister to the congregation in song. He was "Brother Jack" to all of his church family and to all of those who knew and loved him. Jack is predeceased by his parents, Jack Aubrey Barnes Sr. and Cleo Marie Richardson Barnes; mother-in-law, Ida Mae Coleman; son, Darren Lee Barnes; and granddaughter, Ashley Cecelia Barnes. Jack is survived by his wife of five years, Sue Barnes; three children, DuWayne (Cheryl) Barnes, Bunny (Rev. Mike) Poston, and Mitchel (Cindy) Barnes; three grandchildren, Hannah, Sarah, and Jonathan; one brother, James Barnes; and one sister, Cleo Marie Zumwalt. He is also survived by five step-children, Tammy Rivera, Sherry Davis, John Nolan, Philip Nolan, Celina Norris; twelve step-grandchildren; and twenty-one step-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Faith Chapel Assembly of God, East Milton, from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., on Thursday, August 27, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, August 28, 2015, at the church, with Rev. Donald Leavins and Rev. Mike Poston officiating. Graveside Service and Burial will be held at 3:30 p.m., in Sweetwater Baptist Church Cemetery in Leakesville, Mississippi. Lewis Funeral Home, Milton, has been entrusted with arrangements.
