Jacques Dagenais

Jacques P. Dagenais 5/2/42 -11/10/19 Beloved husband, father, and grandfather. Jacques was born in Hull, Quebec Canada, on May 2, 1942, to Jacqueline and Urgelle Dagenais. He was the oldest of six children and grew up playing ice hockey and broom ball. He started racing horses at age 15 and was an active member, jockey, and trainer until 1989 of the Canadian and United States Trotting Associations. Jacques was devoted to his family and is survived in life by his loving wife of 46 years, Paula Dagenais; and his children, Jacqueline Dagenais, Kristen Miller (Garth), Maggie Combs (Jeremy), and Elizabeth Scharer (Chris). He is grandfather to Zoey, Ethan, Eve, and Ellie Grace. Jacques loved animals, was a gifted artist, businessman, athlete, and adored by everyone who knew him as Papa. In his honor, a memorial service will be Wednesday, November 13, 2019, at 11 a.m., in Navarre, Florida, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (1751 Sea Lark Lane, Navarre, Florida 32566.) Lewis Funeral Home of Navarre has been entrusted with arrangements.
