James Blankenship Obituary

James E. Blankenship (J.E.) of Holley, FL went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Thursday, July 5, 2012. He was born July 17, 1949 in Troy, Alabama. He retired from Solutia in 2005 then opened up his own business. He served 42 years for the community as a volunteer at the Holley Navarre Fire Dept. as chief, firefighter and then served on the board until 2012. He is survived by his wife, Kathey (Taffy); sons, Jeremy and Jody (Carisa) ; grandchildren, Dakota, Haleigh, Morgan and Caden; brother, Randall (Toni) Blankenship of Augusta, GA; sister, Gloria (Gib) Andrick of Sebring, FL; mother and father in law, Claudie and James Tolbert; sister and brother in law, Trudie and Mike Childers; blessed with many nieces and nephews. And Best Buddies, John Smith and Harvey King. Graveside services will be held at 6:00PM on Monday, July 9, 2012 at Holley Point Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to gather at J.E.'s home after service to eat, tell stories and share fond memories. Pallbearers: John Smith, Harvey King, Ronnie Broxson, James Clark, Cody Bolden and Mike Faulkner. Honorary Pallbearers: Scoot Harvell, Donnie Hawkins, Doug Barlow, Ron Spinner, Michael Parker and Don Kilpatrick. Lewis Funeral Home Navarre Chapel handling arrangements.
