James Upham Palmer 1946-2011 James Upham Palmer, age 65, passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2011. James was a native and lifelong resident of Milton, FL. He was the son of the late Henry and Marie Palmer. He was a US Army Vietnam Veteran and served with the 101st. Airborne Division Ft. Bragg, NC. He was a retired agent with the former Independent Life (now American General) Insurance Co. He attended True Grace Fellowship Church. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Palmer and son, Jason Palmer. James is survived by his son, Shawn (Kimberly) Palmer of Milton; and his beloved little "girl" Jiggs; stepson, Brian (Jennifer) Joyner of Cookville, TN; five grandchildren, Christopher, Gabriella, MacKenzie, Anthony and Chason; and one brother, Kimmy Palmer of Milton. Funeral services will be held 10AM, Saturday, September 10, 2011 at Lewis Funeral Home Milton Chapel with Rev. Duke Barrow, officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Milton Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8PM Friday, September 9, 2011 at the funeral home. Friends may send condolences and share fond memories with the family at www.lewisfuneralhomes.net
