CMSgt James S. Rheam 1930-2016 James Samuel Rheam, USAF CMSgt (Ret.), passed away on March 8, 2016, at the Belvedere Commons assisted living facility where he had been residing since 2012. Jim was born in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, on August 7, 1930. He joined the military at a young age and continued his military career until he retired in 1978. After retiring, Jim worked in the banking industry for 20 years and again retired. Thereafter, he joined his wife in business at the Stitchery House and became a professional framer. He was preceded in death by his sons, Michael and Samuel; and his beloved wife Sara (Sally). Jim is survived by his daughters, Margaret and Brenda (Gary); his son, Jeff (Connie) and his three granddaughters, Julia, Jessica, and Rebecca; his brother, Fritz (Shirley); and several nieces and nephews. Jim loved reading, watching golf and Gator football, and his Standard Poodles. He was a lover of life, worked in personnel in the military, a true testament to his leadership abilities and his love for people. The family would like to thank all the staff at the Belevedere Commons for the great care Jim received over the years and Emerald Coast Hospice for their care in his final hours. A time of visitation with the family will be held at Lewis Funeral Home, Navarre Chapel (7794 Navarre Parkway, Navarre, Florida 32566), at 12:00 p.m., Friday, March 18, 2016. Graveside Service with full military honors will be held at 2:00 p.m., March 18, 2016, at Barrancas National Cemetery, Pensacola, Florida.
