James "Jim" Lloyd Shelby, Sr. 1946 – 2018 James “Jim” Lloyd Shelby, Sr., passed away on Monday, January 29, 2018, in Houston, Texas. Jim was a member of Avalon Baptist Church. He was employed with Air Products and Chemicals for 38 years, and was the owner of Shelby's Custom Cabinets. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Shelby, Sr. and Stella Shelby; one sister, Bette Conklin; two brothers, Donald Shelby and his twin brother John “Johnny” Shelby. He is survived by his wife, Mary Shelby; son, James “Jamey” Shelby Jr.; daughter, Natasha Shelby; brother, Harold Shelby Jr.; brother, Phillip (Jan) Shelby Sr.; and sister, Glenda Weekley, all of Milton, Florida; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 5, 2018, at Avalon Baptist Church, with Rev. George Dunn and Rev. Matt Cotton officiating. Interment will follow services in the Hickory Hammock Community Cemetery with Lewis Funeral Home of Milton directing. Visitation will be held 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m., prior to the services. Active pallbearers will be Bruce Cupit, Roy Schaffer, Jason Panchenko, John Shelby, Jr., Doug Ardoin, and Jonathan Wingate. Honorary pallbearers will be Shawn Whittaker, Billy Grimes, Jeff Broxson, and Billy Collier.
