Jane Muniz Wilk was born to John Muniz and Theresa Pualani Kamai on the Island of Hawaii. After graduating from High School, Jane entered the United States Army on 16 August 1971 and served through 18 May 1972, and enlisted again on 19 November 1973 and served through 14 August 1987. Upon separation of service she had attained a rank of Sergeant First Class. She received an Army Commendation, and many other awards. While in the U. S. Army, Jane attended the Georgia Military College, Milledgeville, Georgia, and graduated with an Associate in Applied Science – General Education in April 1982. She became a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in 1983. Jane found the love of God by providing services to members and non members alike. By helping others, Jane found peace and was not hesitant in sharing with others her experiences. Jane loved to dance, sing, listen to music and read. She later also enjoyed making a scrap book, genealogy, and knitting garments for grandchildren. Jane is survived by her husband of thirty one years, Jozef Wilk of Milton, Florida; three sons, Joseph Cervantes of San Francisco, California, Andrew Cervantes of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and James Schultz of Fort Lupton, Colorado. Visitation/Wake will be held from 10:00 a.m. - 11:15 a.m., prior to funeral services . Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, July 2, 2015, at the Church of Latter Day Saints of Jesus Christ (5737 Berryhill Road, Milton with Bishop Fred Wilson presiding. Burial will follow services at Barrancas National Cemetery, Onboard Pensacola Naval Air Station. Lewis Funeral Home, Milton, directing.
