Mrs. Jeanette I. Scott, 80, of Milton, Florida, passed away, Sunday, February 11, 2018. Jeanette was born in Weymouth, Massachusetts, the youngest of six children, born to the late James and Hilda MacDonald. She graduated from Weymouth High School; and in her youth, she was a member of The International Rainbow for Girls in Massachusetts. As an adult, she joined the Eastern Star, Owenico Chapter #104, in Uncasville, Connecticut. She was appointed to Matron in 1976 and again in 1978. After traveling the country with her husband, she went back to school and became an LPN, and went on to retire after 17 years of nursing with Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola. She is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Mr. Robert S. Scott, of Milton, Florida; her sister, Elizabeth “Libby” Reddy, of Sandwich, Massachusetts; her sister, Muriel Davidson, of Andover, Connecticut; her brother, John MacDonald, of Colorado; and her brother, Elmer MacDonald, of Old Lyme, Connecticut. Jeanette is survived by her daughters, Deborah Scott, of Milton, Florida, Barbara Scott, of Pensacola, Florida; her sister, Verna Larson, of Kingwood, Texas; sixteen nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Gracie. She will be dearly missed. A Memorial Service for Jeanette Scott will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, February 16, 2018, at Saint Mary's Episcopal Church, 6849 Oak Street, Milton, Florida. The family will receive friends after the memorial service. Lewis Funeral Home, Milton Chapel, has been entrusted with arrangements.
