Jennie Whidden

Jennie L Whidden age 74 of Navarre passed peacefully in her home on December 23rd, 2011. On this day, the Lord took home an angel. She was a beloved wife, mother and much loved grandmother & great-grandmother! Jennie was born November 20th, 1937 in Wildwood Florida. She married the man of her dream, a military man (Henry). After twenty years of service to our country, they decided to make Navarre their home and moved here in 1972. Jennie was a homemaker and loved her family first and foremost while enjoying being a grandmother and great grandmother. She was referred to as GG because “great grand ma” was just too much of a mouth full for a young one to have to say. She is preceded in death by her parents George and Gracie Reynolds, her husband of 43 years Henry E Whidden Jr and brothers George Reynolds and Gene Reynolds. Survivors include her five children; Jennie L Rogers (Ralph Dale) of Crestview, Aleria M Mewborn (Steve) of Navarre, Henry E Whidden III (Debra)of Gulf Breeze, Charles D Whidden (Phyllis) of Panama City, and Lewis C Whidden Sr.(Brenda) of Navarre; Sister Carol (Freddie) Jones of Ocala, Fl and Louise (Leon) Williams of Wake Forest, NC. Also 15 grandchildren: Rebecca (Steve), Christina, Elizabeth (Matt), Gracie, William, Jonathan, Henry III, Daniel, Justin, Meghan, Morgan, Charles, Scotty, Lewis (Sara), and Joshua, 12 great grandchildren many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Lewis Funeral Home of Navarre will be entrusted with arrangements. A memorial service will be held 6 Jan 2012 at Lewis Funeral Home in Navarre at 5pm.
