Jerry Joe Ricks, 70, of Pensacola, Florida, passed away Saturday, April 2, 2016. He was born June 12, 1945. He attended Escambia High School. He retired from Winn Dixie as a meat cutter and was a member of First Pentecostal Church, Pensacola. He is preceded in death by his parents, Julious and Jewel Ricks; and his granddaughter, Hope Gould. He is survived by his loving wife or 46 years, Linda; three daughters, Mindy of Pensacola, Ginger (Thomas) of Pensacola, and Jolene (Rodney) of Pensacola; three grandchildren, Sarah Wayland, Juliette and Gabriella Gould; and his sister, Connie Woodward. A Wake will be held 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 5, 2016, at Lewis Funeral Home, Pace Chapel. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 6, 2016, at First Pentecostal Church (6500 North W Street, Pensacola, Florida.) The Family would like to thank EMS and the Fire Department. The outstanding care he received during his stay at West Florida Hospital ICU Unit. Also, a special thank you to nurse Michael and nurse Brent who loved on him and our family during this difficult time.
