Obituary
Jesse William Stewart, 93, of Pace, Florida, passed away Thursday, January 25, 2018. Jesse was born in Falco, Alabama, on September 19, 1924, to father, William Alexander Stewart, and mother, Gertrude Helen Stewart. Jesse served in the Army Air Core during World War II and was a belly gunner on a B-24 Bomber. He worked at NAS Pensacola after the war as an electroplater for 33 years, before he retired. Jesse is survived by his sisters, Hilda Silcox and Annette Temple; his daughter, Jackie Calloway; son, Michael Stewart; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Funeral Services, for Jesse, will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 31, 2018, at Lewis Funeral Home, Pace Chapel, with Pastors Wes Stewart and Joel Hunt officiating. Visitation will be held 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. for family, and 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. for friends, prior to the services. The family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses at Acadia Heath and Rehab, and the staff of Covenant Hospice, for the love and care given to Jesse during his time of illness.
