Jewell Frances Wells Golden, 105, of Bagdad, Florida, went home to Jesus on January 22, 2018, after a brief illness. Jewell was born in the backwoods of Holley to William Jasper and Lovie Lowery Wells on April 16, 1912. She was a founder and member of Heritage Chapel, 3375 Garcon Point Road. She finished high school in Jay, Florida, an uncommon accomplishment at the time. She worked beside her husband in his many business endeavors. Throughout her working years, her work included teaching school, sewing dresses, running gas stations and oil companies, a newspaper, and banking. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Albert Golden; her grandson, Derek Golden; a son-in-law, Winston Culpepper; and her siblings, Bill, Ira, Curtis, Aaron, Clyde, Cary, and Carlton Wells, Mary Broxson, Agnes Hansford, and Iris Beyer. She leaves behind her to mourn, her three children, Katie Culpepper, Curtis (Mary) Golden, and Naomi Golden; her grandchildren, Linda (Dana) Stone, Lisa (David) Turner, Pam (Frank) Hardy, Greg (Cindy) Bradshaw, Gary (Carroll) Bradshaw, Keith (Jan) Golden, Beth Astin, Leta (Giovonni) DeMarcus, Linzy (Bert) Blalock, Rita (David) Gunter, and Ginger (Troy) Bouk; numerous great and great great grandchildren; her brothers, Martin and Leroy Wells; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Saturday, January 27th, 5:00-7:00 PM at Heritage Chapel, 3375 Garcon Point Road. Funeral services will be officiated by her great grandson, Daniel Stone, on Sunday, January 28th, at 2:00 PM, also at Heritage Chapel. Burial will follow at Serenity Gardens, Milton, Florida, with Lewis Funeral Home of Milton directing. Pallbearers are great grandsons, Daniel Stone, David Stone, Brian Bradshaw, Jordan Golden, Jarryd Golden, Brad Astin, and Trae Blalock. Honorary pallbearers are grandsons and grandsons-in-law, Greg Bradshaw, Gary Bradshaw, Keith Golden, Dana Stone, David Turner, Frank Hardy, Giovonni DeMarcus, Bert Blalock, David Gunter, Curtis Canon Gunter, and Troy Bouk. The family would like to thank Granny Nannies for their loving care of Mrs. Golden in her later years. Lewis Funeral Home, Milton, has been entrusted with arrangements. www.lewisfuneralhomes.net
