Mr. Jimmie Edward Rutherford, 74, of Milton, passed away on Saturday, July 14, 2018. Mr. Rutherford was a native and lifelong resident of Santa Rosa County, Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Edward “Hacky” Rutherford, and Ethel Rolena Cook Rutherford; and a brother, Arthur Dennis “A.D.” Rutherford. Mr. Rutherford is survived by his two sons, Richard Rutherford and James Rutherford; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; four brothers, Seaborn (Sylvia) Rutherford, Earl Rutherford, Alton Rutherford, and Steve (Teresa) Rutherford; two sisters, Joyce (Frank) Kolb and Audrey (Lamar) Brown; and the mother of his children, Emma Norris. Funeral Services for Mr. Rutherford will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 19, 2018, at the Lewis Funeral Home, Milton Chapel. Burial will follow services in Elizabeth Chapel Community Cemetery with Lewis Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. prior to services.
