John Ross Arnold April 30, 1947 to January 11, 2013 John Ross Arnold age 65 of Bagdad, FL joined his heavenly Father on January 11, 2013. He was born in Allentown, FL on April 30, 1947 to the late Raymond and Erma Arnold. He attended Milton High School graduating in 1965 then furthering his education at Chipola Junior College. John began his 40-year industrial sales career at Gulf Coast Marine Supply in Pensacola, Florida, and retired as a Key Account Manager with Pumps Parts & Service. He was very dedicated to his profession and received many accolades, including Salesman of the Year and Sales Excellence Awards. His greatest achievement was the love he shared with his wife Mary, his children Pam and Mark , his 3 grandchildren and his entire family. John enjoyed camping, fishing and sharing stories with friends and family. He and Mary enjoyed their Bible study class and the fellowships they shared with their church family at First Baptist Church in Milton. He will forever be remembered for his crooked kisses, missing toes, his huge jovial smile as he called friends and family by special names he had for each. He will be missed by all who knew him and forever in the hearts of those who loved him. John had a genuine respect for all he came in contact with, believing that every person has value and worth. His faith in God was unwavering, often quoting his favorite Bible verse - Psalms 46:10 – Be still and know that I am God. He is predeceased by his parents, Raymond John “Sarge” Arnold and Erma Lucille Arnold; brother, Ronald Edward "Eddie" Arnold, Sr.; grandparents, Charlie Wolfe and Lula Alvin (Campbell) Wolfe; many friends, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 40 years, Mary F. Arnold; his children, Mark (Andrea) Burns and grandsons Ryan and Adam, Pam (Steve) Stewart and daughter Chelsey Peterson; a brother, Raymond Glenn (Kay) Arnold; and sister, Janet K. Arnold. Family will receive friends from 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. on Thursday, January 17, 2013 at the Lewis Funeral Home Milton Chapel. Funeral services to begin at 1:00p.m. on Friday, January 18, 2013 at First Baptist Church of Milton with Dr. David Spencer, officiating. Interment will follow in Serenity Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Milton Covenant Hospice or First Baptist Church, Milton, Florida.
