John Francis Colbert was born in Washington D.C, on October 2, 1937, and left this earth on Tuesday, February 3, 2015, after a hard year of serious illnesses. John Colbert wore many different hats throughout his life. He began in the Navy and went on to be a restaurant consultant, and business owner. He spent the last nine years lovingly caring for his wife. He was preceded in death by his father John "Fritz" Colbert, Sr.; mother Catherine "Kitty" Du Fief Colbert; and brother Bucky Colbert. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Barbara Louise Colbert; daughters, Sharon Sadler, Elaine Page, and Susan Frezer; sons, Richard Colbert and James Colbert. John was blessed with eleven grandchildren, John Cagle, Brad Cagle, Katie Kuhlman, David Kuhlman, Kyle Page, Daniel Colbert, Cameron Colbert, Max Colbert, Chelsea Lund, Anica Colbert, and Brett Colbert. Recently he became a great-grandfather to Jonah Michael Kuhlman. A funeral mass will be held to honor Johns life at 9 a.m., on February 10, 2015, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 6451 Park Ave, Milton, with Monsignor Reed officiating. Burial will be at 2:00 p.m., at Barrancas National Cemetery, Pensacola. Johns grandsons John Cagle, Brad Cagle and David Kuhlman are honored to be his pallbearers.
