John Davidson

John Alan Davidson, 64, of Gulf Breeze, Florida, passed away Thursday, January 4, 2018. John was a native of Rahway, New Jersey, and was the oldest of three sons to the late Lloyd John & Marion Carol Davidson. He was a graduate of Columbus State University and served in the U.S. Army as well as the National Guard where he was a helicopter pilot. John was a member of the Deutscher Club of Clark, New Jersey. He was a retired Air Traffic Controller with 23 years of service including assignments at the Atlanta Air Route Traffic Control Center in Hampton, Georgia, and Tower Control at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. He dearly enjoyed spending time with his grand and great grandchildren. He is survived by his son, John (Beth) Davidson; his son, Philip (Deborah) Davidson; his daughter, Susan (Michael) Scarlett and nine grandchildren from his first marriage to Sharon Steger; his brothers, Glenn Davidson and Steve (Kathy) Davidson as well as five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren from his second marriage to Lila Davidson. Memorial services for John Davidson are being planned for metro-Atlanta, Georgia, with further details to be announced. Lewis Funeral Home, Navarre Chapel has been entrusted with local arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
