Dr. John C. Gunton, loving husband, father, grandfather, church leader and teacher, went home to be with the Lord Friday, April 27, 2012. He was preceded in death by his oldest daughter, Edith Ann Brewton, and his parents, Richard and Carolyn Gunton, and is survived by his wife, Renita H. Gunton of 41 years, his oldest son, Steven (April) Gunton, his youngest daughter, Renita (Paul) Johnson, his youngest son, Dan Gunton, his son-in-law, Henry Brewton, and ten grandchildren with one great-grandchild on the way. We will miss his humor and his love for Jesus but we shall see him again. He always said "I'm too blessed to be depressed thanks to Jesus."
