John Dale Montford, loving husband, father and grandfather went home to be with Jesus on May 14, 2013. John made the most important decision of accepting Jesus as his Savior in the last bit of his life. John was a true Floridian growing up in Jacksonville, FL and moving to Milton 24 years ago. He loved fishing and the natural beauty of Florida. He is preceded in death by his mother, Thelma Snyder; son, Joseph; his brother, Walter "Mont" G. Montford, III; and three grandchildren, Justice, David and Isabell Viramontes. John leaves behind his beautiful bride of 44years, Arleen; six children, Janis Barley, Cassie (Kenny) Nelson, John Montford, Christie Joyner, Nancy (Aaron) Viramontes, and Abigail (Seth) Giannasio; 11 grandchildren, Kindall Montford, Lauren and Rosie Andrews, Kalob Montford, Emily and Blake Joyner, Manny and Judah Viramontes, Tyler, Austin and Gracie Bell Giannasio; two sisters, Wanda (Michael) Walther and Jenny Montford. He was also a loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1PM on Sunday, May 19, 2013 at Lewis Funeral Home Milton Chapel, with Rabbi Eric Tokajer, officiating. Visitation will begin at 12PM one hour prior to services. Lewis Funeral Home entrusted with arrangements.
