Johnnie Grace Lee Nelson

Johnnie Grace Nelson, 90, of Milton, passed away Sunday, October 2, 2016, in a local hospice facility. Johnnie was born to the late Robert and Annie Lee, in Opp, Alabama; born the last of 20 children. Johnnie and her late husband, Orell Nelson, moved to the Milton area in 1959. She went on to own and operate Johnnie’s Florist in Milton. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Ellen Wolfe. She is survived by her daughters, Alice (Gary) Collinsworth of McKenzie, Alabama; Janice Ware of Milton, Shelly Wolfe of Milton; and her son Donald (Terri) Nelson of McKenzie, Alabama; eight grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 4, 2016, at Lewis Funeral Home, Milton Chapel. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 5, 2016, at Lewis Funeral Home, Milton Chapel, with Bro. Shane Whitfield officiating. Burial will follow in Serenity Gardens Cemetery under the care of Lewis Funeral Home.
