Joseph Myers

Joseph Paul Myers, age 56 was born June 19, 1957 in Kansas City, Missouri. Joe passed away suddenly at home on February 21, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Delmar Myers and Alma Sue Myers (Mayes). He had a son, Robert Joseph Myers (Robyn Thompson), and two step sons, Kurtis Green (Kristen Green) and Randy Green (Janelle Duarte). He has one grandson, Chase Green and another one due any day. He has two siblings, a brother James Myers (Karen) and a sister Jan Myers. He was happily married to Marcia Myers for 16 years, married November 18, 1997. Joe resided in Navarre, Florida along with his father-in-law, Forrest Dale Wolverton and his niece, Ashley Frechin. He lived in Kansas City Missouri during the majority of his lifetime and moved to Navarre, Florida in June of 2003. Joe was a Marine Corp Veteran and worked as Assistant Director of security for the past four years of his life. While in Kansas City, he worked as a Librarian, for many years. Joe was an avid reader. He always seemed to have several books going at one time. He was a huge advocate of public libraries. In his early days he enjoyed playing baseball and soccer. He also helped coach baseball and soccer with his sons and niece. He stayed true to his hometown Kansas City Chiefs and Royals. Joe loved all sports. Joe was a very patient, intelligent and giving person. He loved his many dogs and cats. He was an excellent listener and good at helping you when you needed to focus. He was always one to go above and beyond in anything he did. Joe, I will miss your great smile, bright mind and kind heart.
