Julia R. Hawkins, 86, of Milton, Florida, formerly of Hendersonville, North Carolina, died Friday, April 3, 2020, at her home. Julia loved to sew, do counted cross stitch and watch NASCAR. Julia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Kristie; her parents, Fleet and Cora Galloway; and her sister, Margaret Howard. Julia is survived by her husband of 68 years, James; a daughter, Sheila (Hawkins) Mason of Mt. Home, North Carolina; a son, Kevin Hawkins of Navarre, Florida; a son, Shawn Hawkins of Greenville, South Carolina; sisters, Martha Boyd of San Antonio, Texas and Betty Morgan of Charlotte, North Carolina; grandchildren, Brian Mason, Jeremy Hawkins, Rebecca Hawkins, Brandon Hawkins, Donnell Hawkins and Connell Hawkins; and two great-granddaughters, Emily and Ari. Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 7, 2020, at Memory Park Cemetery, with Lewis Funeral Home of Milton directing.
