Kathleen P. “Kathy” Douglas January 16, 1932 – October 15, 2019 Kathleen P. “Kathy” Douglas, 87, of Pensacola, Florida, passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2019. She was a native of Pace, Florida, and was the first of five children born to the late Hilary and Vangie Perritt. Kathy had a career in real estate and enjoyed gardening, cooking and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, 2 days, Oliver “OJ” Douglas; brothers, Carlos Perritt and Jack Perritt; and one sister, Marlene “Moony” Perritt. Kathy is survived by two sons, Steve W. (Fay) Stokes and Scott (Allison) Douglas; three granddaughters, Stefanie (Joseph) Forte, Madison Douglas, Mallory Douglas and one great granddaughter, Kaleigh Forte, due in April 2020. She is also survived by her sister, MaeDell Wilson. Funeral Services for Kathy Douglas will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 20, 2019, which is also our parents’ anniversary, at Lewis Funeral Home Pace Chapel. Chaplain Wayne Butts will be officiating. Friends are invited to meet with the family one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Roberts Cemetery with Susan Sowers officiating. Pallbearers will be Mike Douglas, Mike Perritt, Johnny Brinson, Russ Goeller, Kaipo Robello and Scott Williams. The family wishes to thank the staff at Bayside Health and Rehabilitation Center for the love and care given to our mother this past year. A special heartfelt thank you is also extended to Valerie Owens, P.A. for her compassion and care during the last several weeks of our mother’s illness.
