Kent Douglas Smith, 67, of Milton, Florida, passed away suddenly Thursday, September 29, 2016. Kent was born in Ames, Iowa, and lived in St. Louis, Missouri, a large portion of his life. He met Pat, his wife of 46 years, while attending the University of Missouri/St Louis. He served in the Navy for four years and worked for several Marine Companies and eventually became a Marine Claims Adjuster. Kent is survived by his wife, Patricia Smith; three children, Kent Dennis (Beth) Smith, Michelle Smith and Kimberly Frangella; and two grandchildren, Kristine Powell and Ethan Frangella. He was a loved brother, brother-in-law and uncle. Visitation will be held 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, October 4, 2016, at Lewis Funeral Home in Milton, Florida. A Graveside Service will be held at 12:30 p.m., Tuesday, October 4, 2016, at Barrancas National Cemetery, onboard Pensacola Naval Air Station, with Rev. Mike Poston officiating.
