Kym Seeburger Milton, Florida Obituary

Kym Seeburger

Calista “Kym” Seeburger, 65, of Milton, Florida, passed away Sunday, April 2, 2017. She was born February 27, 1952, in Orlando, Florida, to parents Margaret and William Seeburger. When she was twelve years old, her father passed away from Lou Gehrig's Disease (ALS). Not long after, Margaret Seeburger married Calvin Miller. She was married three times; Mark Garvin in 1969, Steve Laughter in 1975, and Dennis Barnes in 1990. She is survived by her sons, Cosmo Garvin, Steven Townes Vaughn, and William Nigel Seeburger; her daughter-in-laws, Rebecca Dehr and Nicole Czanderna; nieces, Tiffany Storey McCall and Kelly Storey Greenlund; great-nieces, Emily McCall and Shelby Greenlund; great-nephews, Jacob McCall and Camaron Greenlund; and grandsons August Garvin and Dashiell Garvin. She was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret Miller and William Seeburger; step-father Calvin Miller; and sister, Sharon. Kym spent her younger years following dreams in the music industry that took her to the Midwest, working for Tomato Records alongside Townes Van Zandt and The Cars. She followed that dream to Atlanta in 1980 where the music scene was exploding. She rubbed shoulders with people some could only dream of. For more than 15 years, Kym had worked taking care of developmentally disabled people and was preparing for retirement. She was an animal lover and rescued many animals during her lifetime. She was kind hearted, easy going, and befriended many people. Kym was always willing to help someone out no matter what. A memorial service will be held 3:00 p.m., Friday April 14, 2017, at Lewis Funeral Home in Milton, Florida. Visitation will be held 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. prior to the service. There will also be another service held at a later date in Orlando, Florida, where she will be laid to rest next to her father and sister. In lieu of sending flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to an animal charity or shelter in her name.
