Laurie Selfridge

Laurie Anne Selfridge, 37, of Milton, Florida, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 4, 2019. Laurie was born on August 16, 1981 in Pensacola, Florida. She attended elementary and middle schools in Pensacola, Florida, and was a 1999 graduate of New Hartford Senior High School in New Hartford, New York, where she ran cross country and was a member of the swim team and National Honor Society. Laurie earned a BS degree in Biology from the University of West Florida in Pensacola and also became a certified pharmacy technician while studying at Locklin Tech in Milton. Laurie was employed as a hostess and manager of several Pensacola restaurants including Landry’s and Bonefish Grill. She worked as a pharmacy technician for CVS in Cantonment, Florida, and most recently as a youth counselor at Youth Services International in Milton. Laurie was preceded in death by her oldest brother, Dean Michael Selfridge; and her paternal and maternal grandparents. She is survived by her loving parents, Bob and Carol Selfridge of Milton, Florida; her devoted brother, Drew Selfridge of Mooresville, North Carolina; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 11, 2019, at her parish of St Rose of Lima Catholic Church (6541 Park Avenue, Milton, Florida) with Father Hank Lech and Fr. Dennis O’Brien officiating. Burial will be held at a later date. Visitation will be held 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., prior to the service; with the Rosary beginning at 10:30 a.m. Lewis Funeral Home of Milton has been entrusted with arrangements. Laurie’s family wishes to thank everyone who cared for her with kindness and compassion during her illness. The family requests memorial donations may be made, in Laurie’s name, to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
