Leo Agagas

Leo Atrero Agagas, 66, of Milton, FL passed away on Thursday, September 4, 2014 with his loving wife, Luz Agagas by his side. Leo was born on April 15, 1948 in Candelaria Zambales, Philippines. The oldest of 10 children, Leo joined the US Navy at the young age of 18 and proudly served for 25 years until retiring as Chief Petty Officer at Whiting Field. In 1990, he opened Angel’s Oriental Bakery & Food Mart where he and his family continued baking recipes passed down from his late father and mother, Sixto and Conmemoracion. He also enjoyed being active in the community as a member of the Knights of Columbus, Pace Masonic Lodge #349 Scottish Rite Valley of Pensacola and the President of the Fil-Am Assoc. of Milton for over 15 years. He dedicated his life to providing for his family and being involved in the community. Family and friends say he was an amazing father, husband and brother… a dreamer, a visionary and a motivator as he spent his life always striving to help people around him and inspiring others to do the same. His smile, silly jokes and commitment to others will live on through his loved ones. Leo is survived by his wife, Luz Agagas, his 4 children: First Lieutenant Michael Agagas of the US Army, Marvin, Angel, & Eugene; 4 grandchildren: Anthony, Geno, Latoya & Leilany; his 2 brothers & 7 sisters: Carmelita, Dolores, Elpidio, Flor, Maire, Claire, Sol, Josie & Marcos; and his many nieces, nephews and godchildren.
